(This is a public service announcement! *TWANG* With Guitars!)

In an example of finding anime and anime music in the strangest places,
there is a corps playing an all-anime repertoire this summer. The Blue
Stars, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, are playing music from Gundam Wing (the first
song on the first CD, but not "Just Communication"), "Tank!" from Cowboy
Bebop, and "The Legend of Ashitaka", the end title theme from "Princess
Mononoke". Here's a link to the page about their program:

Playing an anime repertoire has turned a lot of the staff and members onto
anime. I can even certify that it's turned one into a true otaku! That's
wonderful for our interest. If you want to repay the favor and see them in
person (and yell "3, 2, 1, let's jam!" at the appropriate part of the
show--the members would get a kick out of it), here's a link to their
schedule:

If you can make the July 10th show in DeKalb, Illinois, I highly recommend
it. Not only will the Blue Stars be there, but so will the Renegades from
San Francisco, who are performing a Matrix-themed show (complete with black
trenchcoats, sunglasses, and "bullet time"). I've seen them before and can
tell you that they're bad ass!

This concludes this public service announcement. Thanks for reading this
and hope to see you at a drum corps show (just like we'll be seeing the Blue
Star members and staff at anime conventions).
