Good day.
Amazing Spiderwoman is more then a fanfic. Like the comic book and the
anime/manga it shamelessly warps and steals from, it is a coming of age
story. We follow the heroine, Ami, on a journey as she comes to grips
with her destiny. It is through her eyes that we witness the rise of
Sailor Moon, a rather unlikely savior of the human race and protector
of Love and Justice.
Assuming her big mouth doesn't get her killed on the way . . .
Like all stories, there are things that happened that most historical
accounts never mention. Trival things that provide insight into the
Senshi and the forming of their legendary friendship that goes
infinitely deeper and further then blood.
(God, is this sappy or what? What do you mean I'm fired? We're still
on? What? The red light should be on. It is on. I didn't see it. Hey!
Get those security goons out of here! Help!)

"Ladies," Usagi said as she dropped into place at one end of the couch.
"Tonight is a very special night. Thanks to Ami's connections --"
"Its just my cousin Mattie," Ami said from the other end of the couch
where she sat reading a book by lamplight. "I don't have connections."
"Whatever," Usagi said. "Anyway, thanks to Mattie, we have something
special tonight." She produced a DVD case from somewhere. Emblazoned
across the front was the logo of a popular animated series from
America. "The complete fourth series."
The others made noises of approval. Luna, who was napping atop the TV
only opened her eyes at the noises, yawned, and went back to sleep.
Usagi fished the first DVD from the box, placed it in the player and
hit play.
The show started and the voices began to sing in Japanese. Flash made a
noise of pain and clapped her hands over her ears. "Dub!" She hissed.
"Evil! The pain! The pain!"
"What are you talking about?" Naru asked. "It's just a japanese dub."
"Dubbing of American Animation into Japanese is wrong!" Flash snapped
as she leaned across Naru and snatched the remote from Usagi's hand.
"It should be watched in English with Japanese subtitles." She pressed
buttons until the characters on screen began to speak in English as
Japanese text appeared at the bottom of the screen. "Dubbing it into
Japanese ruins the story and the voices hurt my ears. Can't stand
Japanese voice actors."
Usagi and Naru stared at her for a moment and then clasped hands. "Ms.
Osaka," Usagi said in grave tones, "it would seem that Ms. Kino is an
elitist sub bitch."
Naru wiped away a fake tear. "They grow up so fast, Ms. Tsukino," she
said, sounding as if she really were about to cry.
"They certainly do," Usagi said and sprang to her feet. "This calls for
a drink!"
"A celebratory beverage!" Naru exclaimed, also jumping to her feet.
"Liquid consumables of jubilation."
"Booze!" They finished in unison, and headed for the kitchen.
Flash looked at Ami helplessly and flinched. Amy was sitting in such a
way that her hair to cast a shadow on her eyes, hiding them from view.
It also made the light glint off her glasses. The effect was rather
spooky.
Flash made a whimpering noise in her throat as she looked up to the
ceiling with the expression of someone praying desperately to anyone
who might be listening.
