Does anyone know if John Biles is still writing fics? His website hasn't been
updated in a year.

Why not e-mail him and ask him directly?

Yes, he is. He's been posting drafts on the FFML recently.

He has?

....Am I somehow not receiving all of the mail coming through the FFML?
Because the last thing I've received from him through it is "Wheel of
Anime 2-2", which yes is a draft, but came at the end of January and I'd
hardly call that "recently".

I'd call it recently when compared to the 'hasn't been updated in a year'
website :-)

(That is the one I was thinking of, actually. It's at the top of my
unread pile in the FFML)

Well, point.

I haven't been reading that series, although I have a brother who has; I
have a hard enough time enduring "Wheel of Time" itself, and the added
unbalancing effect of trying to juggle various anime characters in the
different roles pushes it over the edge for me.

Though of course I'm still saving it; anything is subject to change.

I'm this close to giving up on WoT myself, so I find it an amusing way
to reminding myself that once upon a time I really enjoyed the
series.

I gave up on it in book 7 - too many things left unresolved, and just
making their OWN tangles now...

As of the latest book or two, they're finally starting to resolve some
things, and I can see others moving towards a fairly final crunch of
some sort. There's still quite a bit left to deal with, but given that
he's got (as of where I left off) two and a half books left to deal with
it all, I think it can probably be pulled off. Mostly.
