Now, many of you know I'm also an artist, and lately I've been working on polishing my manga style, so I was wondering what the consensus is on illustrations in story.
I have been tossing around the idea of doing illustrations, and maybe doing an illustrated pdf of Tears of a Dragon. The question here is do illustrations detract from a text story? And if I do some illustrations, should they be along the lines of manga pages or individual plates? Also, should they be color or black and white?
Also, if anyone knows where I can pick up corel usable screen tones, it would be appreciated. (for those who do not know what screen tones are, they are the dot patterns used to shade most manga.) Since I do most of my work on the computer, I need graphics equivialents, and I am more used to Corel Photopaint than Photoshop or Paintshop.
Anyhoo, private replies please.
