Well, that isn't something that happens to that degree to every girl or
woman. Demeanor, in what setting and looks can greatly affect how anyone is
approached.

Guys (and gals) can be pretty low and cruel, but I read it that *Ranma* is
seeing anyone casting an appreciative looks at "her" as oogling. Not
everyone stares crudely, but some aspects can be hard to ignore too.

Maybe I'm just naive. [shrug]

I didn't really have a problem, but I would have expected Ranma to do
something like Ukyo (breast bindings) to minimize her own overt sexuality
and to dress as androgynously as possible (not necessarily as a *guy* but
nueter.

It really can be, but it's really complex. Something that can be merely
"cutely risque" with one person can be *taken* an entirely different way
with someone else.

Yeah, they're jerk and such, but I knew one guy who came from a slightly
messed up family. He was bit socially disfunctional. But not really bad.
Just the sort of guy that no one really hangs around with. Suffice it to say
I got to see if from *both* ends.

And yeah, he made a pretty big social gaff. But he really didn't try to hurt
anyone's feelings. He just didn't know how to make a pass to save his life.

I couldn't get that far. Not because it wasn't technically a good story.

But because *Ranma* in my mind will never give up.

Ever.

Not on Akane. Not on a cure (someday) or his masculinity.

Ever.

He might become comfortable with his curse to a very select few people
(Akane, IMO) but even that would be something that would really have to be
worked at. And I don't think it'll ever be really comfortable.
