We're right around the corner from Yuricon 2003 and we have some
exciting last minute developments for you!
Yuricon 2003 is a three-day celebration of shoujoai and yuri in anime
and manga, held June 13-15 at the Gateway Hilton in Newark, NJ.
Yuricon is once again co-sponsoring a showing of Revolutionary Girl
Utena, the Movie - this time in cooperation with the New Festival of
New York City (http://www.newfestival.org). Erica Friedman, founder of
Yuricon, will be on hand to present the movie on Thursday, June 12 at
5:45 at the Tishman Auditorium and to answer questions, following the
film.
ALC Publishing, which was founded to bring quality shoujoai and yuri
manga to the English-speaking audience, will be premiering a new comic
at Yuricon 2003. "Rica 'tte Kanji!?" written by Yuricon Guest of Honor
Rica Takashima, tells the story of a young college student as she
comes to Tokyo to find love in Nichoume. "Rica" will be available for
sale during Yuricon 2003, and online thereafter at the Yuricon Shop.
