A couple of months ago I stumbled on a Ranma 1/2 fanfic that has Ryoga
returning to Nerima after having been gone a number of years.
The idea was pretty good, where you saw everyone's reaction as the only
person that had changed over the years was Ryoga (who comes to visit
with his son!).
Anyone know of this FanFic? I'd like to add it to my bookmarks and have
been unsuccessful in finding it again (via google).
Thanks a bunch!

Its "Catalyst" by Jaelle. It can be found both on Fanfiction.net and at her
webpage http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~jaelle/Jaelle_Orla.htm

It's a pretty good story and I'm looking forward to more of it coming
along eventually. I often enhance my fanfic reading lists from stories
people are looking for by asking around on newsgroups and such. It
indicates the story is memorable to at least one person...

What I liked about this particular story is that aside from being well
written, it is also rather unique in the approach. Many of the Ranma
fanfics I'd looked at are awfully predictable, and this one does a great
job of showing character change while remaining "in character".
Also didn't find out about the Authors propensity for the Ryoga/Ukyou
pairing in other fics, and am glad that if they do hook up in Catalyst
it's not completely obvious.
Really enjoy Krista Perry's "Hearts of Ice".
Only critique being that she has a tendancy for dialogue that falls "out
of character". Now that Krista is giving Hearts a complete re-write, am
curious to see if she remedies those few areas with weak dialogue.
