Hi everybody, I just desperately look for an anime movie I saw many
years ago. I wasn't even 10 at that time I saw it and I can't recall
some aspects of the plot. Also, I didn't watch it from the beginning.
Anyhow, the plot synopsis was the following: a statue of a goddess (I
think) landed to a planet. This statue carried some sort of evil
force, that influenced people that worshipped it, after it was placed
in a temple in the capital. Some years or months later, an evil man (I
REALLY can't remember whether he was human or robot) organized a
conspiracy to overthrow the present king. One night, some sort of
MECHANICAL BUGS or SPIDERS (I am writing this in capital in case it
strikes a nerve for someone) invaded the palace and entered the
forehead of the sleeping king and several of his also sleeping
consultants. All the ones infected by these mechanical critters,
became mindless husk, catatonic, withdrawn from reality. That same
night (I think) the king's wife, the queen, gave birth to twins, boy
and girl. Later, she secretly met a female cyborg warrior and
delivered her her girl infant to raise her. The queen herself fled for
another planet alonside the baby boy and a few surviving consultants.
In that new planet, time was different and the boy soon became 20
years old. Eventually, these refugees decided to set a revolution. The
queen and her son (let's say, the prince), returned to their home
planet and initially pretended to be the monarch's friends (the same
evil man I aforementioned, who had become a monarch by the time).
Unfortunately, the queen was mesmerized by the monarch and slowly
slipped to oblivion, until she became completely mindless. The boy
swore revenge. War went on between human guerillas and robots. Cities
were bombardized and other similar stuff. The boy discovered his
sister in this mess: she was raised in an orphanage by a nun, who was
actually the aforementioned cyborg warrior disguised. In the end,
everybody in the planet died, except for the two siblings. The warrior
covered their exit with a spaceship and died while fighting robots.
The boy and the girl landed in an new, beautiful planet and life
started anew. The statue flew away, aiming to destroy other
civilizations. Does ANYBODY have the slightest clue which this anime
movie or tv-movie or anything, is? I'm REALLY SORRY for the awfully
long post, but it was the only way I could describe the movie.
